The Craft of Bookbinding
The fascination for books goes without saying but the mechanics behind them is even more so. This masterclass will look at all these elements and the materials that go into them. You will be paper folding, chain-stitch sewing with curved needles and coloured thread, making end-papers and constructing a sewn-on hard case cover using decorative papers, producing a very tactile, flat opening, Coptic style book to take home with you.
